Beautifully Crafted Sequel

I Thoroughly enjoyed Alto's Adventure, making sure to finish all the achievements and essentially master the game, learning all the neat tricks with the wingsuit to get the highest combo possible. The environmental aspect of the first game was truly tough to top.

Yet, you guys have done it again. Alto's Odyssey has truly struck a balance between the old and new. It has retained so many elements that made the former Adventure perfect, yet you have added so many more aspects which have made the game more mesmerising, and yet just a tiny bit more difficult.

Now I can proudly ride down the sandy dunes as I put my old tricks to use and gaze at the scenery, (hopefully without crashing)

Exhilarating and Peaceful

You need to play the game to understand why.

On one hand, you are taking risks, looking out for obstacles, making sure you are not dying. You are also looking out to complete the challenges posed to you.

On the other, your combos are your art, the way you gracefully take the landscape into your grasp. This along with the music, beautifully crafted environment and scenery. Few games put you in the “flow”, and like its predecessor did, this new version does it so well.

I enjoyed the previous adventure greatly and this one is surely much better: diverse landscapes and tricks, and also a bit harder.
